This was the first year that representatives were welcomed from Myanmar, Libya, and Mongolia which further enhanced the richness and diversity of perspectives shared during the
Summit ’s many conversations.
The range of topics discussed included perspectives on growing enterprises in Asia, avoiding cultural chasms, global economic impacts, corporate and social responsibility, entrepreneurism, strategies to close the pay gap, negotiating effectively, work/life balance case studies and the impact of success on women’s health to name but a few. A detailed program agenda including copies of many of the presentations from the forum are available from the summit’s web site at the link below.

The summit provided an excellent opportunity to learn from women who are leading change in their organization or country, and to network with a diversity of dynamic women from around the world. I particularly valued the CEO forums and have been challenged to think beyond incremental change in terms of how much can be achieved.
I have returned from the
Summit more informed on women’s issues, with an expanded professional network and with a greater sense of personal empowerment. And I have had the opportunity to visit the wonderful and bustling city of
Hanoi .
Next year’s Global summit will be held in June in Chile.
